creativity with fabric

My eyes are always open for floral/geometric/earthy/all vintage (and anything else interesting) fabrics.  At thrift stores especially, since it’s usually pretty cheap.  My problem: I’m usually only thinking along the lines of making a skirt, or a pillow case or something else equally large.

But when I found this Etsy jewelry shop, Vadjutka, I was inspired to think outside the box when it comes to projects with fabric (think: jewelry!), and to admire the details I so easily miss.
The shop owner is from Budapest, Hungary.  No two pieces are identical.  And she’s got wonderful names for her jewelry (I want to wear the Baroness Lili around my neck).
Here are my of my favorites.

Autumn Garden ring.

Baroness Lili necklace.

Winter Dream necklace.

Winter Bird necklace.

Modern Hungary earrings.

I am excited about what this weekend will bring.  I have plans to be with some dear friends and to do artsy things and to make dinner (making dinner is a big deal to a girl who lives on a college campus!).  I’m sure ya’ll will hear about and see pictures of everything.

Have a wonderful and refreshing weekend,

Rebecca

    That's awesome.

p.s. I went vintage shopping on U street and it was amazing. I own two old vests because of it.

p.p.s. you should read the blog "kendieveryday" it's the one I was telling you about.
