So J surprised me last night and cooked a wonderfully romantic dinner.  I was told to dress up and arrive at 6:30 (which turned to 7, and then turned to 7:15…the prep took longer than he expected).  That’s all I knew.

I walked into his apartment.  Edith Piaf playing softly in the background.  The table was set with a romantic centerpiece.

He was cooking (I wasn’t allowed to get any closer).  Sorry these are a bit blurry…

I was stuck at the table.  Left to take pictures of my surroundings.  And of myself.  What could he be cooking?

And here are the portobello mushrooms to die for.  With our pretty drinks in the background.

And everything on my plate.  Steak, rosemary potatoes, portobello mushrooms and mozzarella tomatoes.

& he didn’t use any recipes.  I promise you, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.  The rosemary potatoes were my favorite.

What an amazing man….*sigh*
