celebrate | a pretty pink party

Finally!  The pictures from last week’s event…{details below}

These are my favorite – don’t they look incredible?

Last week, Susanna invited Karin Agness, founder and president of the Network of Enlightened Women, to campus for a wonderful lecture and Q&A.  Karin spoke about conservative women’s issues and it was just a blast.
Susanna asked me to help with the dessert table, an opportunity I jumped at.
We planned a bit and came up with two basic themes: pink & feminine.
The menu included the following:
– Chocolate brownie-cupcakes with bright pink icing
– Vanilla cupcakes with light pink icing
– Pink vanilla wafers
– White chocolate chip cookies
– White chocolate dipped marshmallows, coated in pink and gold sugar {my personal favorite}
– Pink peppermint sticks
We did feel a bit “spruced” the night before, when 10 p.m. rolled around and we hadn’t started any baking.  {Check out Etc. | Etc. A Cure for the Common Wedding Blog for definition & background on being “spruced.”}
We had so much fun putting together the beautiful table decorations,  collecting serving dishes and baking the pink {& gold} goodies.  I am so pleased the event turned out to be a smashing success!
I can’t believe the weekend is over.  I completed *almost* everything on the to-do list.  Was your weekend productive?
have a wonderful Monday,
Rebecca
