Baking, decorating, eating, admiring.  Everything about them.

I don’t love to eat tons of icing, but I sure like to make and look at a cupcake covered in inches of frosting.

As I mentioned earlier, the theme of the faculty reception I’m planning for May 7 is Mexican fiesta.  With subdued colors….burgundies&reds/blues&greens/yellows/etc.

In preparation for the massive quantities of dessert that will need to be made and decorated, my roommate Phoebe, Susanna and I experimented with cupcake decorating last week {in Susanna’s dorm room – it was very fun!} and produced some beautiful results.

First, we mixed icing colors to match the streamers that will be used for an awesome design idea of Susanna’s.  I think the colors were matched perfectly!

Then we goofed off with the icing for a while, until we made some that we liked {and some that had entirely too much icing, but looked scrumptious}!
