Bri Emery from Design Love Fest challenged her readers to find inspiration outside of the internet. I’ve been thinking about that challenge a lot recently.
Sometimes the simplest things are the loveliest. Drift wood. A neutral striped scarf. Pieces of shells. An old book.
Nature is full of inspiration. Check out the great shapes of those striped sea shells and the texture on the drift wood. And the beautiful lighting (these pictures were all snapped outside, my favorite place to take photos!).
I really enjoyed styling these simple pictures and being inspired by nature. Thanks for the challenge, Bri.
This post brings an end to beach week. I had such a great time down the shore. Not only did I relax and enjoy the company of my boyfriend (for a few days) and my dear family, but I tried buckle down and really find a job! I applied to 6 jobs, most in event planning. I’m praying something works out – I really need to start making money again. ๐
I’ve been thinking…I want to thank all my LOVELY followers and new friends! Some of you have been following me from the very, very beginning (Lenore and Sarah – you two are amazing!) and others are brand new. I’ve enjoyed these first 5 1/2 months and cannot wait to see how my blog and new friendships will grow. I am so so close to 100 followers (my secret goal was 100 followers by September; thanks for helping me attain that, friends). As my way of saying THANK YOU, I will host my first giveaway when I hit 100. Stay tuned for details next week. ๐
Have a blessed weekend!
till Monday,
Rebecca

Our favorite souvenirs to bring home from the shore are pieces of smooth driftwood. Beautiful! And people always notice them.
