Friends from TN and NC were up visiting this weekend and we had a blast! My favorite part: the grilled pizza midsummer’s night celebration. Thanks for the idea + instructions, Victoria.
We set up the kitchen table with the sauce, toppings, dough, and lots of flour. And then the guys got to work kneading, tossing, stretching, and “decorating” the pizzas.
There was quite a mess afterwards, but totally worth it!
I only have two “lessons learned” that I feel obligated to share with you all, dear readers. First, don’t overheat your pizza stone in the grill. We did, and it split into two pieces. Second, make sure you’re very generous with spreading the cornstarch on the stone every.single.time. We weren’t for the first two pizzas and ended up with blackened bottoms. But we finally learned the trick and eventually had delicious, perfectly grilled pizza.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
till tomorrow,
Rebecca

Natasha (and everyone else): hehe…for the sake of full disclosure…I must be honest. I bought the dough from a local pizzeria. But we did get to pretend we made it by stretching it out and getting our hands dirty. 😉
