simple summer entertaining

Is there anything lovelier than dressing up a picnic table for a midsummer’s night celebration?  I think not!  Why not enjoy life to the fullest and make your surroundings beautiful and welcome friends with fun colors?

The pink tablecloth is a recent $1 thrift store purchase (my newest thrifting obsession is purchasing large flat sheets to use as tablecloths!), and those luscious silver candleholders are a recent $6 purchase from Main Street Bazaar.  And that large lantern?  I recently made a bunch of them for my family reunion, and decided to keep them around for a while.

Do you have any simple entertaining secrets?

till tomorrow,

Rebecca

P.S. Yes, I like hydrangeas.  😉  They happen to be gorgeous and in FULL bloom right now.
