recipe | a scrumptious caesar salad

Today I bring you a mouth watering & very simple Caesar salad recipe.  It’s so yummy, I want to eat a big plate of it right now.

All photos by Rebecca Beach for A Daily Something.

This is kinda like a secret family recipe.  But I always have the urge to spread the Caesar salad love, so here goes…

//Ingredients//

  • Extra virgin olive oil (1/2 cup)
  • Dijon mustard (two nickel sized piles)
  • Worcestershire sauce (approximately 12 shakes)
  • Fresh lemon juice (approximately 1 1/2 tablespoons)
  • Freshly minced garlic (2-3 cloves)
  • Sea salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Romaine lettuce (3 medium-sized heads)
  • Freshly grated parmesan cheese (to taste)
//Instructions//
  • Mix dressing together
  • Wash//dry//chop romaine lettuce
  • Add to dressing and toss, thoroughly
  • Add parmesan cheese and toss again
Serve and enjoy!!
Every time I serve this salad, there are no leftovers, and guests invariably ask for the recipe.  Always a good sign.
Let me know if you try it out and what you think!
till tomorrow,
Rebecca
P.S. A million thanks to my friends Robert and Wendy – for the D300 camera privileges and help with styling these photos!

    Kathleen – I KNOW … so embarrassing. But I tried to cover it up in photoshop, and didn't like the way it looked. PLUS, Joe said it looked ok. If the bf approves, everything's ok. 😀

  8. sherri lynn says:

    Gorgeous photos! I've made three different caesar salads but have not liked any of them! I'll have to try your recipe.

  9. I just made this, intending to save it for my lunch, and ended up having my lunch early! I halved the oil, added extra lemon juice, omitted the parm and used spinach and it was STILL excellent. 🙂 Great recipe! I'll make it over and over!

  10. Rebecca says:

    Jennifer, you made my day! I want to eat some now, for second breakfast. 😀 SO glad you liked it!
