it’s Monday, Monday…

Hard to believe it’s already Monday and the first of August.  Let’s start this week/month off with some some irresistible cuteness.  That’s Isaac, my precious little nephew.  He’s too much, huh?

This past week and weekend flew by and I don’t even know where to start sharing about it all.  I guess chronological order is a logical place to begin…

Early last week I was contacted by a potential employer in DC.  The phone call was great and lead to an interview scheduled for this past Thursday.  So, I packed by bags (seriously, I packed them) and planned a fun weekend in DC.  But I had to be back by Sunday for an African Safari shoot and party…!

After a looooong train ride, sans internet (boooo Amtrak), Thursday’s interview went incredibly well – thank God!  We’ll see what happens on that front…I have a peace about it.  Admittedly, it’s not my dream job (instead, it’s a well-paid paralegal job), but at this point, I just need employment.  And who knows what it may lead to.

The rest of the weekend was spent ooohing and aaaahing with Susanna at the Old Lucketts Store, getting in some quality boyfriend time with Joe (including a dentist visit, where he received a teeth cleaning and I received some *knowledge* from Seventeen Magazine – that thing is garbage), and the two of us getting to spend time with Jayce + Nicole and Joe’s sister and brother-in-law.

Also, on Saturday morning Joe and I shopped Ikea for almost 2 hours.  And by shopped I mean looked.  What a treat!!  He prefers the Marketplace – he finds it hard to see past the showroom’s grass green walls  – and I prefer the showrooms – I love seeing books on shelves and clothes in closets.  Interesting difference, right?!  Does your man enjoy shopping at all?

That’s the summary of my whirlwind weekend, minus my Sunday craziness, which you’ll hear about later this week.  But what I will tell you is that I finally got to make my African Safari ideas a reality and spent over 6 hours styling the photo shoot (with Wendy!).  WHAT A BLAST!  Wendy is so much fun to work with.

Ok, sorry for the text-heavy post.  I try not to do those….just had a lot to talk about.

Enough about me.  How was your weekend?

till tomorrow,

Rebecca
