party sneak peek

Photography by Rebecca Beach for A Daily Something.

Editing nearly 1,500 pictures is not necessarily my idea of fun.  Which is why I am only sharing a sneak peek with you today.  But I hope this whets your appetite for what’s to come….A few weeks ago, I helped my friend Wendy plan her daughter’s 15th birthday party.  My major contributions were the Parisian macarons (pictured above – those were the 15 pretty ones after nearly 5 hours of baking) and my role as the photographer of 10 teenage girls.  It was a blast.

So be on the lookout…other pictures will follow!

Have a blessed weekend, friends!

  2. Christina says:

These are gorgeous! They look so labor-intensive, which is why I probably wouldn't ever attempt them. 🙂 Amazing job.

  3. jillian m. says:

You made these?! They look fantastic! Macarons are notoriously difficult to make. Which is why I haven't even attempted them!

  4. Rebecca says:

Jillian, yeah I made them!!! It was a PROCESS that took over 5 hours (I was watching TV, too, which might have slowed me down). In the end only 15 looked pretty. In my first batch, I didn't grind the almonds fine enough, and they were chunky (but still delicious!)…lol. I would DEF recommend making them!

  5. Danielle says:

    They look so yummmmmmmmmmy!

  6. Victoria says:

Your macaroons are gorgeous!! Great job, it's amazing how long they actually take to make.

  7. Gorgeous photo! And I can't believe you made those!!!!

  8. 5 hours of baking? Seriously?? I've never had a macaroon but those do look delicious! Can't wait to see photos of the 10 happy teenagers 🙂
