diy | metallic sack

When Bri posted about this metallic bag she brought back from Paris, I knew I had to recreate it.
Using two basic supplies most of you have laying around the house – spray paint and a paper bag – you can recreate this funky storage option!  Simply crinkle your bag (or leave it untouched for a more structured look).  Then go crazy with the spray paint, covering the bottom 3/4 of the bag (I had lots of extra gold paint, but other colors would be awesome, especially white for spring).  Let it dry (this takes only a few minutes – the bag absorbs it very well).  Then carefully (it tears easily) fold/roll over the top edge to your desired height.  Fill with whatever your heart desires – scarves (like Bri), office supplies, flowers, paintbrushes, etc.  Or you can display them upside down, because they’re just that awesome!

I think they’d make awesome picnic sacks, party favor bags, or gift bags.  I want to paint 100s of different colors.  What would you use these bags for?

till tomorrow,
Rebecca

I think these would be amazing for an herb garden. Cutting off the bottom of the bag and setting the pot inside the bag. Especially for a front porch display. I'm totally doing this after we move to our new place this week! Thanks for the idea, Bec!
