happy weekend!

How precious are these lambs? Even though the weather’s being uncooperative, I have these little daily reminders that it is is, indeed, Spring! I see them frolicking through the fields all day long. On Wednesday, I took a walk around the farm and they were friendly enough to let me take this picture before shying away to their mothers.

This weekend I plan on going outside and enjoying the [somewhat] warm weather on Saturday, before snow hits again on Monday. I also intend to get our little apartment completely company-ready (by that, I mean getting rid of the pile of empty boxes that are taking up 1/4 of our open space). It’s time that we invite some friends over for dinner and games. Because there are a few things about are little home that I dislike (landlord’s furniture, light green carpet, size), I’ve avoided having company almost completely. I need to embrace what I love about my home (the lighting, the kitchen, the ceiling, and a few treasures displayed here and there) and stop being insecure about insignificant details. Have you ever allowed insecurities to prevent you from doing something you love or would really like to do?

What are your weekend plans? Hope it’s blessed!

  2. Those lambs are the cutest confirmation of Spring! I also try to avoid having company at my shoebox of an apartment, but I like how it forces me to be more creative with making plans; going for a walk or to a new restaurant to catch up with friends.

  3. I grew up on a farm and one Easter we got a baby lamp which we fed from a bottle all spring. I think it was more work on my parents than we knew, but 'Sam the Lamb' was TOO cute and whenever spring rolls around I think about him 🙂

    Have a great weekend, Rebecca!

  4. shoot….baby *lamb* not baby lamp 🙂
