Style | Altar’d State + 35 Weeks

One of my goals for this first pregnancy was to stay out of maternity clothes as much as possible. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on clothes I didn’t love or that I’d only wear a few months. Mission accomplished until this baby girl started putting on the pounds (aka until mama started putting on the pounds). With only 4 1/2 weeks to go, I have managed to buy only a few new maternity pieces – mostly pants (and more recently, 3 affordable tops that cover my belly completely).
Dresses, skirts and baggy tops have become my best friends these past few weeks. That’s why I was so so excited when a new favorite brand, Altar’d State, wanted to partner and send me a few pieces, to style with a bump, and then later this summer, I’ll show you what they look like without the bump. (Northern VA, friends…we’re lucky enough to have an Altar’d State to shop in person right here in Leesburg!)
I picked out two dresses and this relaxed loose knit sweater (I have it in taupe). It’s become a favorite top for Spring, because it’s light but adds an extra layer (and I love layering) and provides just enough warmth on a breezy evening. And, it showcases the baby girl bump quite nicely, I think.

I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with Altar’d State and am honored they’re a sponsor of A Daily Something. A few awesome things you might not know about Altar’d State: they’re cause-motivated, which means that, among other things, they support local charities. They fund employee volunteer hours. They want to inspire people to stand out for good. They partner with fashion vendors who give back for good. I’m so happy to work with brands like Altar’d State and help spread the word.

Can’t wait to show you the rest of my baby belly looks with my Altar’d State dresses! Happy Wednesday, friends!

Okay, if that outfit is considered 'maternity clothes', you are one stylish mama-to-be!

I love those red rocking chairs. Looks like the perfect spot to rock your baby girl.

  2. Beautiful mama to be! Love the teal pants. Great spring look.

Your whole outfit is so dang cute Rebecca. The sweater looks so soft and cozy. And I pretty much feel the need to steal your jewelry. I'll refrain though. 🙂

LOVE those colors together, and on you. those pants are soo pretty. i don't know if they're maternity pants, but aren't maternity pants THE BEST at this point? i held out for as long as i could too, but once i broke down and bought them they were the definitely the most comfortable thing in my closet. and since they fit so nicely, you can actually feel really cute and stylish again, too!

  6. Louisa says:

i'll have to check them out. i've been to Appleseed{Alexandria} and that was fun but pricey. definitely trying to not get too many maternity clothes.
