Our Style Stories & Life

Today I’m thrilled to be sharing about a new site that launched this week – Our Style Stories, founded by the fabulous Hilary Walker. Our Style Stories focuses on style profiles, closet visits, and podcast interviews with creative & inspiring individuals. How fun to see how artists and makers actually live with peeks into their homes and studios, and being able to hear their stories. I especially love Our Style Stories’ manifesto and Hilary’s desire to dig deep and really tell the story of emerging creatives.

On Monday, Hilary will be featuring the cozy, mid-century inspired home of Christine and Steven Visneau (these photos are two sneak peeks of their home – I want that bedside table…now!). Christine is a fashion stylist for Neiman Marcus Last Call and Steven is
a fashion photographer. Christine is also the creator of Small Magazine, an online magazine focused on children, art,
fashion, and basically everything cool and kid related (Small Magazine is new to me and I’m obsessed!).

Congrats on the launch, Hilary! I can’t wait to see more of the Visneau’s home this coming week on Our Style Stories!

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe that our little Zoe is 15 days old….and has already outgrown many of her precious newborn outfits. The past two weeks have been full of so many surprises, challenges, emotions, and incredible moments. My heart is so full of love for our baby girl. Parenting is more time-consuming (actually, all-consuming) than I ever imagined, but I am sure it will gradually become easier as we all adjust and learn how to be parents.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be taking it easy on the blog. I’ll still be around, but I really want to spend as much time as possible with Zoe and cherish these first moments together (and allow my post c-section body to heal properly). A few dear blogger friends have sent over wonderful guest posts, and I’ll be popping in here and there with some fun content!

What are you up to this weekend? We’re planning on venturing out to Antietam National Battlefield tomorrow for an incredible 4th of July show put on by the Maryland Symphony Orchestra! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it – hundreds of people gather on the rolling battlefield hills, set up blankets and tents, spread out the yummiest picnic foods, and enjoy the day outside. And one of the best fireworks displays I’ve ever seen will close out the evening.

Have a blessed weekend!
