Style | Linen in the Spring

I spent last Wednesday in DC…lots of meetings (basically I restaurant hopped for 6 hours), catching up with friends, visiting Greenheart Juice Shop’s new location in Georgetown, Heirloom DC’s #SpringSocialDC, and this little shoot with Laura Metzler. I had such a fun day (a million thank yous to my sister-in-law for holding down the fort & watching my kiddos all day long) I think I’m going to make this a monthly occurrence. And maybe you’ll see a few more fashion-y posts on this ol’ blog, too. I’m planning on sharing a few times a month what we’re (I’ll include the girls every once in a while) wearing these days! P.S. I’M BLONDE.

This linen dress has been my go-to dress for a few months now, ever since I received a pretty little package from Not Perfect Linen. It really is perfect, in all seasons: layered with pants or tights, or just bare legs, with sweaters or kimonos. ETC. And the more wrinkled it gets, the better (at least I think so). I’m excited to announce (soon!) something fun in the works with Simona & her family at Not Perfect Linen!

And let’s talk about these clogs. I’m always on the hunt for comfortable shoes because, to be honest, I dress for comfort 90% of the time. And since I’m only 5’3″, I like a little heel. When I discovered BRYR, I was so excited because Isobel’s clogs are made with such beautiful precision. I had a difficult time choosing which clogs to order, but decided on the Audrey Spanish Toe, in flint. They are the epitome of comfort (I wore them all over Georgetown; the leather is so soft!) and style. I love this color, too, because it goes with basically everything.

Last but not least, head over to INSTAGRAM for a fun giveaway with Awl Snap. Erin is based in Richmond, VA, and she hand makes lovely leather goods in her studio there (including the gorgeous lagoa bucket bag I’m wearing)!

Beautiful clothes! I just wish they had larger sizes. It is impossible to find linen clothes for plus size without paying $200+ for one piece of clothing. I will have to try the linen towels, they look great.
