Style | Dress the Bump – 18 Weeks

Take a peek into my closet these days and you will see that the majority of what’s hanging there is rectangular (or square) dresses. I love that you can wear these dresses in almost any season, they go with almost anything, and they work before, during, and after baby  (despite not being maternity). They’re not shapeless; they’re oversized. They’re chic, billowy, and minimalist. And they work well when you’re running after kids all day, but maybe have a client meeting or work event in the evening!

This dress is a new favorite. It’s from Mimu Maxi, a company that I recently discovered through Ginny Branch. I love the cascading design, the fabric, and how dramatic is can be. Also, layering is my jam, so it makes me happy when I can layer pregnancy-friendly elastic-wasted linen pants UNDER my dress without showing the waistband!

I definitely think there’s a place for more fitted clothing, but also love the freedom that oversized allows. I’m definitely going to be embracing my oversized dresses this pregnancy, for as long as they’ll fit. Any favorite companies I should know about?

Here are my outfit details:

Dress: Mimu Maxi (this nude color is sold out)
Linen Pants: c/o Not Perfect Linen
Heels: Jeffrey Campbell (similar)
Necklace: Dear Mushka
Pouch: Matine
