Style | Layering in the Spring

It’s that time of year again. The time where we’ve packed away the winter gear, cleaned out our mudrooms, and opened up the boxes of spring clothes from the attic. One of the best – in my opinion – parts of spring is the wardrobe shift. The lighter layers. Embracing (and showing off) your layers. It allows for so many fun textures, without needing to hide them away under boisterous jackets.

I love this new cotton jumpsuit from Oak and Fort, and paired with a lightweight turtle neck and my Elizabeth Suzann Clyde Vest, it’s perfect for spring! Mules or sandals would make it even warmer-weather friendly. Arguably, the Clyde Vest is the most versatile piece in my wardrobe, and I wear it multiple times every single week.

I’m participating in my friend Lee Vosburgh’s 10×10 Spring Style Challenge (more on that coming to the blog this Friday)! Basically, you pick 10 pieces from your wardrobe (including shoes) and style these pieces into 10 different looks over 10 days. I’m SO stoked; I’ve been wanting to participate in one of her challenges but always forget to mark my calendar and then miss it. And this year, she’s co-hosting the challenge with Liz, founder of Elizabeth Suzann herself, and I cannot wait to see how she styles her 10 looks. I will definitely have a few ES pieces included in my 10. Follow along via the hashtags (#spring10x10 and #es10x10), and if it interests you, play along! You can read lots more about it on both Lee’s Instagram (she’s got a great story highlight about it), and the Elizabeth Suzann Instagram!
