Shop | Gift Ideas for Mom

I’ve been taking it easy the past day, resting and resetting after a crazy week of final preparations for Shop A Daily Something. All of the enthusiasm and excitement has been so incredibly wonderful; thank you so very much for your support!

I’m in a transition period right now, between my spring and summer interns, which has me scrambling to get just the bare minimum done. Please forgive me as the blog hasn’t been updated as much as usual! I have lots and lots and lots of fun ideas and plans for the future of A Daily Something, including keeping up with blogging! But some weeks, the blogging has to go and I have to focus on other tasks at hand (like cleaning my house and feeding my children, ha)!

These photos are from an older shoot with my friend Melissa Hope. I love that this stage of my girls’ lives was captured so beautifully by Melissa. We had such a lovely day at Field of Flowers, picking and arranging flowers together! Each spring, we eagerly await the opening of our favorite pick your own flower farm!

For today, I put together a few of my favorite gift ideas for MOM. Little ways to brighten her day, to tell her how grateful you are for her influence in your life, to fill her life with inspiration.

  1. A seagrass market tote, which could pass for a purse, a beach bag, a carryon, or even just a plain old market tote. The removable linen liner is really convenient, and easy to take off, wash, and put back on. This bag was included in the Shop A Daily Something launch giveaway; it’s really a keeper!
  2. Some simple brass drop earrings.  I love how these earrings easily elevate a simple outfit!
  3. Who doesn’t want a spring-floral-infused wild peony soy candle? Plus, it’s handmade in Brooklyn, and comes in gorgeous vintage-inspired packaging!
  4. Appointed makes my all-time favorite journals and notebooks. This white canvas workbook is no exception. Every mom needs one to stay organized and jot down thoughts throughout the day.
  5. You can’t go wrong with this minimalist watch. It’s made with Italian leather, is adjustable, and is just stunning!
  6. “You’re here, but you want to be there. So you spend your life narrowing this divide, and you call this your race, your journey, your path. You live your days tightening your boot straps, wiping the sweat from your brow, chasing undiscovered happiness just around the bend. Higher! Faster! Better! Stronger! And on and on you run.”  Chasing Slow by Erin Loechner. This book is a must-read for anyone yearning for a slower, intentional lifestyle.
  7. The Simple Fare series of cookbooks (there is Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter) is one of the most beautiful set of cookbooks I’ve ever laid by eyes upon. The recipes celebrate quality ingredients and simplicity. And the photography is truly a work of art.
  8. A super fun and spring-y way to accessorize, this hand-dyed and printed scarf will do the trick!
  9. Shop ILĀ Sonoma Sea Salt, naturally harvested by solar evaporation from the clean waters of the Pacific Ocean, with the most beautiful branding ever. Yes, please!
  10. We all know I’m moderately obsessed with this Yellowware Pitcher from Farmhouse Pottery. It’s such a beautiful take on a classic, it’s incredibly sturdy, and the careful attention to detail is incredible! I love everything Farmhouse Pottery makes.
