A Capsule Kitchen Challenge

Happy Tuesday! Autumn is almost officially here. This summer has been full of travel, family time, working behind the scene and furiously making plans. I unintentionally slowed down my blogging this summer in exchange for living slowly, enjoying the season with my family, and refocusing and setting some business goals. We’ll be sharing more about what’s in the works over the next several weeks, but first: the launch of A Capsule Kitchen Challenge!

A Capsule Kitchen Challenge

Something we’ve been developing over the last few months and are finally launching is the #ACapsuleKitchenChallenge. Earlier this year I was cleaning out our kitchen when I decided to put together A Capsule Kitchen Checklist. I was tired of accumulating, not knowing what was in my kitchen, last minute grocery runs for odd ingredients I’d never use again. Our kitchen was feeling cluttered and I was feeling uninspired in the kitchen, the center of activity in most homes. This checklist was designed to help create a minimalist, well-equipped kitchen.

A Capsule Kitchen Checklist

A Capsule Kitchen Checklist is a guide meant to help you curate the essentials for a minimalist kitchen. A well-stocked, prepared kitchen. One that can host at a moment’s notice, one that can do more with fewer things. A kitchen that is beautiful and inspiring. The checklist takes you through each area of your kitchen – pantry, freezer and refrigerator, cupboards, table, and bar – and helps you eliminate excess and discover the possibilities with less.

You’re Invited to A Capsule Kitchen Challenge!

You’re welcome to join my #ACapsuleKitchenChallenge at any time! We’ll be going through our kitchens [virtually] together to create minimalist, efficient, and beautiful kitchens as we welcome the season!

We’ll be starting by applying the #ACapsuleKitchen Checklist to our kitchens. Then we’ll move on to restocking as needed over the weekend at the farmer’s market, and then cooking a handful of dishes together over the course of the following week. You’ll be receiving my A Capsule Kitchen checklist, a beautiful menu planning sheet, and a daily email with the next day’s task!

I find myself using the same ingredients over and over again, yet somehow my cabinets tend to accumulate and are in constant need of a clean out. I so hope you join this ongoing challenge!

Here are the summarized details; please let me know if you have any questions!

WHAT

A organization and cooking challenge to help you simplify your kitchen experience. The kitchen is one of the most used and easily cluttered areas in our home. Together we will create a more peaceful, beautiful, minimal, and efficient space. And then we’ll cook a few dishes together over the course of the week, and share our progress and our findings. We’ll be sharing our progress and journey over on Instagram with #ACapsuleKitchenChallenge.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Everyone. Anyone. Whoever wants to join this community, simplify their kitchen experience, and be inspired to cook seasonally.

WHEN

A Capsule Kitchen Challenge is ongoing; you can join at any time!

WHY

This answer may be different for everyone! You may want to be reminded to find beauty in the simplicity of your Daily Somethings. You may be needing to give your kitchen an overhaul and want the accountability. You may want to stress less about meal preparation or complicated ingredients. You may be hungry for community. Whatever your why, you’re invited to join this community!

MISCELLANEOUS

Please do not let the online nature or the fact that this is called a challenge keep you from participating. And please don’t feel guilty if you skip a day or don’t prepare your planned dish or if you go out to dinner instead of cook at home. This is challenge is all about finding simplicity and forming good habits and learning together. So let’s do just that, and be honest about our journey together! If you miss a day, no problem! If you decide to just read the emails, but not participate, no problem! And if you decide to participate, but don’t want to share your progress online, no problem! I hope this is a blessing and encouragement, and cannot wait to begin on Thursday!
