Gift Guide: Gathering Essentials

I’m really, really thrilled to be sharing a few gift guides this year. I always intend to share gift ideas with you, but it always falls through the cracks. BUT NOT THIS YEAR!

Today I’m sharing the GATHERING ESSENTIALS GIFT GUIDE. These are my go-to items for dinners large and small. They’re either exact products I use or the closest match I could find!

Do you have a friend who loves hosting? Do you want to add a few things to your own wish list? Here you go!

GATHERING ESSENTIALS GIFT GUIDE:

  1. West Elm organic dinner plates (I have 60 of these plates and have been using these for nearly every gathering I host since 2015);
  2. Eclectic vintage silver plated flatware (I have settings for about 40-50 and use these for about 50% of my dinners);
  3. IKEA matte black candlesticks (I bought these last year and LOVE them; sleek, modern, and sturdy);
  4. Pinch bowls (I don’t have these exactly, but am always adding pinch bowls; they’re great for using on a cheeseboard, or to hold flaky salt on the dinner table);
  5. IKEA water glasses (I’ve had about 80 of these for YEARS; a few have broken here and there, but the price is unbeatable, and I love the simple, modern shape);
  6. Cotton flour sack towels (my go-to for napkins for a crowd; these are about $1 each, and are 100% cotton. You can wash them a million times, and if they get stained, you can dye them or turn them into useful rags);
  7. Glass bottle with stopper (I have a handful of these, and use them for water and juice);
  8. Linen napkins, assorted colors (for a smaller group, these napkins are pure perfection);
  9. Cobram Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil (no dinner is complete without a great quality extra virgin olive oil);
  10. Maldon sea salt (I always include pinch bowls on my dinner tables, overflowing with the yummiest flaky sea salt. I love encouraging guests to pinch & sprinkle with their fingers);
  11. Feast board (one of the most beautiful wooden boards; I don’t have this one, but it’s on my wish list. I love the shape and that it would line the center of the table nicely);
  12. Bormioli Rocco tumblers (I bought 48 of these last summer, and I think I’ve used them for every gathering I’ve hosted since then. Perfect for wine, cocktails, juice, etc. SUCH a great purchase);
  13. Canvas drop cloth (these are my FAVORITE tablecloth for large groups – like when I have to cover 2+ tables – because they’re indestructible and so affordably priced);
  14. Taper candles, assorted colors (these are great quality tapers, and come in such fantastic colors).
