Gift Guide : The Husband

It’s here, the greatly-sought-after THE HUSBAND GIFT GUIDE.

Oh, The Husband (aka a 30-something man). What to buy him?! Here are a few useful, practical, and dare I say, even beautiful items for the man in your life. A little outdoorsy, a little cozy, a lot well made, durable, and, well, manly. My husband lives in his Chore Jacket look-alike and his duck boots and leather gloves. And what man doesn’t want to smell like Lineage’s Boot Jack Cologne?

Read on for my favorite gifts for THE HUSBAND.

THE HUSBAND GIFT GUIDE:

  1. Bourbon Glasses: Special bourbon glasses; a set of two, for when a bro is over (or for when one glass is dirty).
  2. The Field Guide to Knots: Every man kneeds to know how to tie knots; you knever know when you might kneed one.
  3. Carhartt Hat: Does this even need an explanation? I wear MY Carhartt every single day in the colder months, and I think Joe actually needs a matching one.
  4. Leather Slippers: For cozy mornings and evening at home.
  5. Wool Socks: Wool socks really are the best, and not just for lounging around the house. They’re the best for hiking, playing in the snow, skiing, etc.
  6. Letter Holder: For the office or studio or kitchen. A truly stunning way to display not just letters, but anything you need to easily access.
  7. Wild About Weeds Book: Help him learn how to dominate the weeds.
  8. Boot Jack Cologne: “lavender, notes of seasoned oak, and perhaps even leather” – YES PLEASE. Seriously, this cologne smells so good. It also comes in candle form.
  9. Chore Jacket: The Chore Jacket is back (from the late 1800s), apparently. Add an extra layer for chore time. Or just for style. And warmth.
  10. Sorel Snow Boots: A basic must-have. Joe wears his in the snow, rain, for hiking, etc.
  11. Wool Blanket: This is actually for The Husband’s Wife (since when does The Husband need a wool blanket)?
  12. Opinel Pocket Knife: Making men manly, one pocket knife at a time.
  13. Yeti To-Go Mug: For the coffee-drinker (not My Husband).
  14. Leather Gloves: A nice pair of warm, durable leather gloves.
  15. Harry’s Razor: Does your man shave? Get him this sturdy, beautiful razor.
  16. Wool Ski Sweater: A Christmas sweater he’ll want to wear all season long.
