style | a sweet picnic on the beach

As part of my beach week, I styled a simple picnic on the beach.  I love the soft colors and the boat in the background.  Makes me feel like I boated to the destination (when, in fact, I trudged through very.hot.sand).  😉  Because of the sweltering heat, I only brought fruit and water for the photos, but don’t worry, I’d bring something more substantial to actually *feed* people.

What I love most about picnics is their beautiful simplicity.  At home, I was able to carefully pack everything into the wagon (why don’t I use a wagon more often?).  It took about 15 minutes to set up.  And I snapped about 100 photos in 5 minutes.  Despite the clear sky, the lifeguards were ushering everyone out of the water and off the beach because of thunder, somewhere.

Wish someone could have enjoyed this sweet picnic on the beach.  Sometime soon I’m going to have to surprise my boyfriend (who lives in VA, sad face) and set up a little picnic for him!!  Have you ever done something like that?  I’d love to hear about it…

till tomorrow,

Rebecca

Hmmmm, recognize some of those props. They have a "nice family" feel about them. Did the lifeguards stare at you as you confiscated their boat? I LOVE THE PHOTOS. The Hydrangea is GORGEOUS! Great job.

  21. During summer, nothing is more relaxing than having a beach vacation with your family. Aside from those beach activities that they can be involved in, a perfect family picnic would also be fun. Moreover, having a picnic getaway with your special someone would be very romantic. That would be good for sweet couples out there.
