As part of my beach week, I styled a simple picnic on the beach. I love the soft colors and the boat in the background. Makes me feel like I boated to the destination (when, in fact, I trudged through very.hot.sand). 😉 Because of the sweltering heat, I only brought fruit and water for the photos, but don’t worry, I’d bring something more substantial to actually *feed* people.
What I love most about picnics is their beautiful simplicity. At home, I was able to carefully pack everything into the wagon (why don’t I use a wagon more often?). It took about 15 minutes to set up. And I snapped about 100 photos in 5 minutes. Despite the clear sky, the lifeguards were ushering everyone out of the water and off the beach because of thunder, somewhere.
Wish someone could have enjoyed this sweet picnic on the beach. Sometime soon I’m going to have to surprise my boyfriend (who lives in VA, sad face) and set up a little picnic for him!! Have you ever done something like that? I’d love to hear about it…
till tomorrow,
Rebecca

I agree with you about the beautiful simplicity of picnics! This one is stunning! I love that you used the mason jars as glasses!
There is something that is so relaxed and easy about a picnic! Love your set up {the wagon idea is genius!} … oh, and girl, your nails look great!

That's such a lovely picnic! I think hubster and I will do this in Delaware. I'm so impressed that you hauled it all in the wagon – pulling those things in sand is HARD!
how sweet!! your little setup is perfect.
I want to go on this picnic with you! It just looks so lovely! Super summer. I actually love picnics in non picnic weather too! Have you ever tried that?
The top photo is so perfectly arranged it looks professional! The colors and texture and composition – wow! Sounds like you are having a blast out there.
I love! So so pretty!!! The pop of the flower colors is so lovely…nice choice! I would love to picnic there 🙂 xoxoxo brynn
despite the lifeguards laughing at you, awesome idea 😉 you can make me a picnic!!! as long as there's BBQ RIBS in the menu, i won't say no 🙂
what a lovely picnic! My favorite part may be the flowers and the mason jar cups 🙂
I would love to be enjoying a lovely picnic right now!!
Hmmmm, recognize some of those props. They have a "nice family" feel about them. Did the lifeguards stare at you as you confiscated their boat? I LOVE THE PHOTOS. The Hydrangea is GORGEOUS! Great job.
During summer, nothing is more relaxing than having a beach vacation with your family. Aside from those beach activities that they can be involved in, a perfect family picnic would also be fun. Moreover, having a picnic getaway with your special someone would be very romantic. That would be good for sweet couples out there.
