candlelight dinner in a field

Or possibly in a barn, on the beach, or in a cave.

That’s what OUTSTANDING in the FIELD will bring you.

Just imagine: traveling across the country in a huge red & white van, planning fantastic dinners at farms & vineyards & beaches, meeting hundreds of people {farmers, ranchers, chefs, artisans, guests}, eating farm fresh food at every location, experiencing Ireland, Denmark, Wales, France, Spain and Italy.  That’s the life of the 6 members of the OITF staff.

So idyllic.

I discovered OITF Wednesday night and have been thinking about them ever since.  They’re going to be in the VA/DC area in September.  Only problem: tickets are $220 each.  Maybe I’ll help out at the dinner.  🙂  Oh, and they do private events.

I love the simplicity of the tables {just linens, glasses, silverware & sometimes candles} & the expansive natural setting.

I am so inspired to take advantage of the outdoors, and will do so this weekend…picnicking in Georgetown{!} with three beautiful friends {Susanna, Rachel and Alyssa} and window shopping at expensive stores.  Also on the list: completing 2 chapters of French work.  Fun!

Got anything exciting planned?

till Monday,

Rebecca

P.S. Thanks to Robert M. Green, who, according to Wikipedia, invented ice cream floats in 1874.  Had one last night and enjoyed every. last. bit.

  2. Sarah says:

I don't have anything fun planned, but one thing I used to LOVE doing outdoors was go to this beautiful garden and listen to the Pasadena pops under the stars. We would wine and dine and it was spectacular.

    Thanks for sharing!

I'm planning an outdoor bachelorette party and a birthday party at the beach this year. At least!

I love love love outdoor parties.

The pictures are so fun, especially the first one. Would like to see the whole set-up.

    Cheers
