work spaces

Something I’ve never done is create a really inspiring work space.  The offices I’ve worked were either already decorated, or I never really had my own “space” to make my own…

Eventually, I hope to have an office in my home {please!} and I will be able to make it as cozy and inspiring as I like.

Here are some ideas I love from Rue Magazine’s Work Spaces Gallery.

I love the classic simplicity of this first space.  And the gold accents {anybody know where I can find that gold leaf wall decor?}  I just got back from a thrift store I’ve been frequenting for years {every time I’m in NJ} with three delicious lamps.  One is chunky, heavy and brass, the other two are matching crystal lamps.  I’ll post pics soon – these will help make that workspace!

I don’t know if I’d be able to work in such a clutter/storage free area.  I definitely want lots of art and craft supplies at my finger tips.  Maybe I can have two work spaces…a room where I make things and a room where I work at the computer?

This is the sort of area I want for creating things.  I love the long workbench and inspiration boards.  And the big storage shelf.

In this last space, I love the subtle yet wild zigzag painted wall.  And the antlers.

Do you have a neat and simple work space, or are you more of an organized chaos person?  Or a total clutterer?  Any ideas on how to mix the two looks??

till tomorrow,

Rebecca

  1. These are beauuuutiful – I especially love the first! My "work space" is in such sad shape right now. Like so sad that I never actually work there. So many things to fix up…..sigh.

Oohh I think my favorite things are the plant on the wall in the first picture, and the chevron design on the wall and door in the other picture. Totally fun. Thanks for sharing

  3. I am so glad to meet you. Oh workspaces.
I have a nice one, but I am rarely there. LOL.

Oh my goodness. I LOVE the first one. The yellow chair, the gold wall decor…its perfect.
