work day
I want to have a luxurious picnic with monogrammed pillows and piles of peonies.
Not today though…today’s a work day. I’m working on fixing up two lamps I purchased at Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Shop ($4 each) and an armoire I picked up off the side of the road. For free.
I’m going to be giving the lamps a nice dose of gold paint (bought some metallic gold spray paint at Lowes last night) and I’m still on the lookout for the perfect shades. For the armoire, I plan on stripping some of the veneer off, evening out the wood, and thinking about how I want to paint it.
I’ll also be working in the garden beds, trying to get a handle on my mom’s massive yard.

Jana Cate……I just painted them with the first coat of gold paint and they look scrumptious!
