learning photoshop

If you’re anything like me, you’re fascinated by Bri Emery’s photoshop skills.  Confession: I asked for photoshop for my birthday because of Bri.  I have been dying to attend one of her blogshops, but am waiting to save some money (student loans, etc. need to take priority, I suppose…).

Thanks to this simple-to-follow tutorial on creating an animated image (thanks for sending it my way, Ez), I proudly present you with my first animated image.  You can expect many more to come.  It’s kinda addicting.  And super easy, believe it or not!

The images above are two out of nearly 1,500 photos taken at a recent 15th birthday party that I planned with my friend Wendy.  I showed you a sneak peek of the party (remember my pink Parisian macarons?) a few months ago, and guess what?  The rest are coming tomorrow!  We successfully managed to pick the best 29.  So get excited!!!

till tomorrow,

Rebecca

P.S. Does anyone know how to get more vibrant colors in a gif?  When I save the animated psd file as a gif, I lose so much image quality.  Help!

P.P.S. Another favorite photoshop tutorial on how to make circles.

What a fun and festive photo, I cannot wait to see the rest:)

  2. Nicole says:

I can't see the animation! i'm guessing it's my computer. can everyone else see it?

  3. Gloria says:

This is adorable – thanks for linking to the tutorial!

  4. Sarah says:

Haha I love gifs! They are so fun. I don't own photoshop so there's this free website I use the last time I made one. You are so cute in this photo!

Aww, what a cute little image! Photoshop is amazing, I'm working in it a lot but I feel like every time I do, I learn something new! And yes, Bri's photos are amazing 🙂

  8. awesome!! too cute. sounds like a fun party!! you totally don't need to go to blogshop – you can clearly teach yourself!! : ) we didn't go over image quality when saving a gif vs. a jpg but it shouldn't matter i don't think? are you saving for web? idk what else!

  9. I am so proud of you! You are my photoshop rockstar!
