thrifted style / 01

This 100% silk Alfred Sung blouse is one of my new favorite shirts.  In fact, I love it so much that I wore it to the Kinfolk gathering on Sunday evening.  Besides the fabulous print, it was only $2.  Here’s a similar shirt on Ebay for $129.

Ever since seeing Sydney wear this outfit, I’ve been on the lookout for a similar silky blouse.  Like always, after a little persistence, thrifting paid off!

I’ve trying to develop a patience to thrift for clothing.  I tend to focus exclusively on breakables, props and furniture – you don’t have to dig as much, and you don’t have to worry about whether or not your purchase will fit.  But you never know what you will find when you sift through racks and racks of clothes (and if you are picky, it won’t take all that long to filter – a lot of the stuff is really no good and you will learn how to spot the clothes worth buying).

I’m thinking about sharing more thrifted fashion finds on here – should I?

till tomorrow,
Rebecca

p.s. Wow, it’s a new month…Happy March, friends!!  Expect some sponsor love soon!

This is so lovely. I've had the desire lately to do thrifting, but my little one is such a squirm bug plus being pregnant makes it hard to want to chase after her if I let her out of the stroller. I'll have to plan a Saturday to go when the hubs is home.
