This 100% silk Alfred Sung blouse is one of my new favorite shirts. In fact, I love it so much that I wore it to the Kinfolk gathering on Sunday evening. Besides the fabulous print, it was only $2. Here’s a similar shirt on Ebay for $129.
Ever since seeing Sydney wear this outfit, I’ve been on the lookout for a similar silky blouse. Like always, after a little persistence, thrifting paid off!
I’ve trying to develop a patience to thrift for clothing. I tend to focus exclusively on breakables, props and furniture – you don’t have to dig as much, and you don’t have to worry about whether or not your purchase will fit. But you never know what you will find when you sift through racks and racks of clothes (and if you are picky, it won’t take all that long to filter – a lot of the stuff is really no good and you will learn how to spot the clothes worth buying).
I’m thinking about sharing more thrifted fashion finds on here – should I?
till tomorrow,
Rebecca

i too think you should post more thrift finds!! it is encouraging to see others do well at thrift stores. afterall in this day and age we need to:
reduce, reuse, recycle and in this case…. REWEAR 🙂
Absolutely!! Can't wait to se more!
I've been trying to build up my patience for sifting through the racks, too. Like you, I'm always distracted by the housewares, furniture, and albums sections.
Wonderful find in this shirt though! It's lovely.
xo.
Um yes! This is awesome and more posts of course!!! 😉
$2?!?! Damn. I love the print! Sad we missed each other at the dinner. Hope our paths will cross again. 🙂
That shirt is adorable! I can't ever seem to find good clothing items, most of what I find (like you) is furniture, props, etc. What are your favorite places to go thrifting?
2$?! Get out! Its perfect.
Love the adventure of thrifting:)
You and your amazing finds! Still can't believe your beautiful bag was $1!
nice purchase!
Absolutely! I love seeing all the goodies you scoop up!
This is so lovely. I've had the desire lately to do thrifting, but my little one is such a squirm bug plus being pregnant makes it hard to want to chase after her if I let her out of the stroller. I'll have to plan a Saturday to go when the hubs is home.
