I am thrilled to be sharing exciting news: I’ll be hosting the Kinfolk Honey Harvest Workshop this month in Northern Virginia (and a few of their workshops later this year)!
In case you’re unfamiliar with Kinfolk Magazine, they’re a relatively new collectable print magazine (and they also have weekly online features, and in-person workshops, dinners and events) with a focus on causal entertaining ideas. I love what Kinfolk stands for: simplicity, enjoying life’s little moments, cherishing time with friends and family, good food, spending time outdoors, etc.
In 2013, Kinfolk is teaming up with folks around the country to host community gatherings. The Kinfolk community
gatherings are an invitation to engagement: engaging with new skills,
new relationships, and a refreshed understanding of the physical world
around us. The gatherings focus on cooking, gardening, the culture of
the table, and other hands-on practices.
This month, we’ll be learning all about bees, harvesting honey, and making honey infusions. If you’re from the DC/Northern VA area (or just feel like taking a road trip), I’d love to see you there. You can purchase tickets here. AND if you’re interested in partnering with me for this workshop (or an upcoming one), let me know!
Discovering how to infuse our lives—ourselves, our work, our relationships, our homes, and our entertaining spaces—with simple beauty, more intention, and slow living principles.
