Intentional Gifting with HP

Thanks to HP and their generosity, today I’m celebrating my brother Andrew. Andrew turned 19 years old this month, and he’s the youngest of the seven kids in my family. He graduated high school last year, and has been working full time to put himself through college. We had a mini Christmas while “home” in New Jersey two weeks ago for Thanksgiving, and I wanted to bless my brother with a gift that would be useful and beneficial; one that he might not be able to buy for himself (so, as much as I wanted to buy the socks and underwear to embarrass him, I decided against it)… In partnership with HP and their #ReinventGiving campaign, I gifted my not-so-baby brother a new HP Spectre x360.

Our dad unexpectedly passed away eight years ago, when Andrew was just 10 1/2 years old. Since then, our family has only drawn closer together. My mom is a pilar of strength and courage and selflessness. I haven’t lived at home since my dad passed (I was in college, and then got married and moved to VA), but I know there are daily struggles and challenges for everyone. Emotional, financial, spiritual, etc. Andrew is currently working full time and putting himself through college. I personally know how difficult it is to work AND take classes AND somehow get homework finished on time and study for exams. Having a reliable laptop is absolutely crucial during these college years, and I thought the HP Spectre x360 would be the perfect fit for Andrew! I know it will enhance his life and take away the burden of having to purchase a laptop on his own.

We had so much fun surprising him the Saturday after Thanksgiving with this new laptop. It’s amazing how meaningful the gift of a new laptop (or technology in general) can be; I love HP’s latest (and very emotional…grab some tissues) #ReinventGiving video on YouTube. Thankful for the opportunity to bless my brother with an incredibly beautiful and useful new computer!

If you have someone in your life who could use a new laptop (or yourself, perhaps), HP currently has a sweepstakes, and all those who enter will be dropped into a pool of possible winners. HP is giving away six (6) laptops! This is an Instagram and Twitter only promotion, and all you have to do is head over to Instagram and/or Twitter and comment #ReinventGivingSweepstakes on my posts there to enter!
