Our First Day at Fields of Flowers

Fields of Flowers is one of our favorite places to visit all season long. We usually pack a picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it. We love their rotating, seasonal blooms, and their huge open fields for frolicking. The owners, Nat and Patty, are incredibly friendly, and I’m so thankful we have a pick-your-own flower farm right here in Purcellville.

These photos are from our first visit-and-picnic this season; the farm had been almost cleaned out over Mother’s Day weekend, but we managed to fill a $10 cup to the brim with some peonies, poppies, baptisia, jasmine vine, and a few others. I’m in the process of teaching Zoe how to properly cut flowers from the plant, and she had such a blast helping me with that task. And Naomi was content to run around singing to herself. Can’t wait to share more of our Fields of Flowers adventures all summer long!
