Shop A Daily Something Is Here

Well friend, the day is here! Shop A Daily Something is live, and to say that I’m incredibly excited to be sharing this with you is the understatement of the year. I’ve been dreaming of a shop for a long time, and decided earlier this year that 2018 would be the year of Shop A Daily Something.

Shop A Daily Something is a collection of beautiful and functional products that will make your daily somethings lovelier. Items that will help you appreciate the simple, wonderful aspects of life — and find reasons to celebrate in your everyday.

I believe that if we intentionally surround ourselves with beauty, we will find inspiration and be uplifted throughout our day. The mundane will become extraordinary. A ceramic pitcher of fresh flowers on the kitchen table. A gorgeous straw tote hanging by the back door, ready for market day. Handmade leather mules to slip on for an evening out with friends. And a sleek baby lounger that you actually WANT to keep out on display because it’s just that beautiful.

Many of these items we use in our everyday lives. Many of the items are wish-listed! (Let’s be honest, Shop A Daily Something is one big wish list of all the things in life that I find beautiful for myself, my home, my family, my life. Helllllo, Santa Claus!).

Today’s launch is a small peek into bigger things that I have planned for Shop A Daily Something. To start things off, as of May 2018, all the products in my shop are affiliate products. This means that I am not physically selling and shipping items to you directly. I’ve hand-selected some of my favorite products from some of my favorite brands, and have curated them here for you. If there are sales generated through my links, these other brands will pay me a small commission. This is at no extra cost to consumers.

I have a simple request of you: if you find something you would like to buy in Shop A Daily Something, will you please buy it through my link? Shop A Daily Something will help me to provide for my family and enable me to continue doing what I love: creating beautiful content to inspire you to make more of life’s daily somethings. With this hopeful added income, I will be able to take on fewer sponsored posts on the blog, while continuing to make money to help support our family! I will always share when I’m including affiliate links in my blog posts, so you are aware. And I will never share about products that I don’t find beautiful, useful, or have personal experience using. Thank you in advance!

Please let me know if you have ANY questions about any of this! It’s all so new (to me) and exciting, but I don’t want to come across as too salesy or confuse you, my friend!

Looking ahead to the future, I have dreams and hopes to take Shop A Daily Something in another direction. This launch today is enabling me to see what you guys love, what makes you happy, what makes you feel the most fulfilled! So, please tell me if you love something you see on Shop A Daily Something. And please tell me if you dislike something. I don’t want to give away too much information for what I have planned for the future, but come October, I’m hoping to be launching something arguably even more exciting!

And last but not least, I need to thank a few people, without whom this launch would have never happened.

  1. My dear intern Adriana (who will be wrapping up her internship with me this week!). Adriana has been me since the beginning of making Shop A Daily Something a reality. She has worked for hours researching products, selecting products, working on the back end, writing copy, being my constant companion and sidekick. I’m going to miss her A TON.
  2. My shop launch consultant-turned-friend, Sara. She provided the accountability, task lists and brainstorming that was oh so necessary to launching. She’s currently checking ALL the links and all the things. She’s a GEM!
  3. My husband, Joe. He has stood by and supported ADS over the past 8 years like a champ, even when it was costing us money. He’s encouraged me to dream big, he’s provided manpower and muscles, he’s watched our children, he’s driven my nursing babies to me every three hours when I had events. You might say he’s ADS’s biggest fan. And my biggest support behind the launch of Shop ADS.
  4. My friend and designer, Jen. She’s basically the best and I wish everyone could work with her. Oh wait, you can. TONIC SITE SHOP (Jen & her business partner Jeff’s brilliantly, intentionally, and beautifully designed website templates) will make all your website dreams come true! Jen, I owe you all the cocktails in the world.
