it’s christmastime!

Hello!  Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and thoroughly enjoyed your time with family and friends over Thanksgiving.
I am so excited about upcoming wintery celebrations and cozy decorations and cannot wait to share some handmade Christmasy projects over the next few weeks.
First up are paint-dipped flower heads.  I was recently out on a drive, looking for inspiration from nature and spotted these beauties on the side of the road and had to pick a bunch.  I simply dipped them in white ceiling paint (you probably have some left over from your last painting project!) and stuck the stems into floral foam (oasis) to dry.  I love how the paint really seeped into the flowers yet so much of texture remains!
I now have a ton of these pretty little paint-dipped flower heads, and plan on using them for table centerpieces and decoration around the house.
Can’t wait to share more projects with you all!
till tomorrow,
Rebecca
  1. You are so crafty! I wouldn't have thought to do something like this, but I would definitely put one of those on my bookshelf or desk.

  2. Gloria says:

I never would have thought of painting flowers – lovely!

  3. morgan. says:

I love these because I just get so tired of everything looking so "made for Christmas". Not everything has to be red and green!! These are so cute and refreshing to look at this season

  4. Yay! Can't wait to see what else you have in your creative head! And as always, love your photos.

  5. Rebecca says:

Thanks, everybody!! Morgan, I think it's funny you said that about the red&green because when I showed this post to my bf before going live, he asked why I didn't dip in red/green paint. 😉 Oh, boys….! 😉 I do love his advice though…
