In honor of love week, I'm sharing photos of the day I married my love. We have so many simply wonderful wedding photos, that I decided to divide them into three posts. These are a few of my favorite "getting ready" shots (our photos were incredibly difficult to narrow down but I wanted to show you my absolute favorites). Tomorrow, I'll post pictures from the ceremony. And Friday will be all about the reception.
The girls and I pampered and prettied ourselves at my mom's 300+ year old farmhouse in Northern New Jersey. It was just lovely getting ready in the home my family has lived in for nearly 20 years (and before that, my grandparents). Such a perfect backdrop with the wooden ceiling beams, hardwood floors, fireplaces, and all the comforts of being home. It was a perfect last day of living at home.
Our photographer was Alice Gao. When I first discovered Alice's work (through her blog, Lingered Upon), I was captivated by her ability to capture natural light and perfectly candid moments. What a blessing it was to have her share in our special day, and capture so many precious memories with our family and friends.
Hope you enjoyed this little peek into our day. More to come tomorrow!
