Sometimes life’s so busy, and rushing by so quickly, it’s hard to remember to slow down. To take a few hours on a cloudy Saturday and BE with our children. To let them frolic and get dirty and eat unwashed apples. It’s easy to feel as though we don’t have to time for leisurely activities like wandering between rows of speckled red and green apple trees, in search of the PERFECT apple.
But I want to always make the time for these beautiful moments. For appreciating the swiftly passing seasons. The times when life does indeed feel slow and more intentional and when I’m present with my girls. These teaching moments where our girls learn that apples grow on trees (and about rotting and worms and farm life). For creating traditions and memories that our girls will remember for years to come, and then pass on to their children.
So here’s to making time, to the changing seasons, and to eating unwashed apples!
Discovering how to infuse our lives—ourselves, our work, our relationships, our homes, and our entertaining spaces—with simple beauty, more intention, and slow living principles.
