What lovely pictures and such great finds! I love the chair, and I think staining it is a great idea. If it doesn't work, you could always resort to painting it.
I agree with the staining. Metallic colors would take away from its antique feel. Beautiful staging, Beccs.

Definitely stain it, shrooms. Stain stays a lot better on wicker than paint does. Paint starts to flake pretty quickly.
I vote for stain too! It's funny that all of your thrifting finds ended up matching so well
