I’m thrilled to be sharing the second and final part in my Madewell Two Ways Series! I had so much fun working with my spring intern, Adriana, Madewell, and my wonderful photographer, Paula, on these two looks (you can see the first here).
The purpose of this series was to highlight the versatility of Madewell. Madewell works for so many, regardless of age, style, time in life. And so, enter Adriana, a 20-something sophomore in college and Rebecca, a 30-something mom of 3 and entrepreneur. We were each tasked with the job of styling the same Madewell pieces in a way that works for our lifestyle.
For this look, we chose to showcase the Wide-Leg Utility Jumpsuit (in white) and the Oversized Jean Jacket (capstone wash).
Adriana styled hers for a day of being around campus…classes, library, dining hall. Comfy Veja’s sneakers for walking, and her Lorimer Backpack for carrying all the things. And of course, the Oversized Jean Jacket for layering when class or the library is chilly. Which is always.
I chose to style my jumpsuit for a day of hopping around town for a day of work meetings … with a subtle retro/70s flare. I dressed up my Wide-Leg Utility Jumpsuit a bit with a pink tank peeking out from the partially unbuttoned jumpsuit, and the Sari Crisscross Sandal (just the most comfortable sandal I’ve ever worn). I added the Oversized Jean Jacket for extra interest (#thirdpiecerule), and for when my coffee shop work meetings inevitably turn polar.
What I loved most about this look is how the Wide-Leg Utility Jumpsuit worked so well for both Adriana and me. We almost didn’t try it on in the store, but when we did, we were so pleasantly surprised by the comfort and the flattering fit. The cinched waist turned them from just another oversized jumpsuit into an incredibly flattering, more versatile piece. It’s become a staple in my wardrobe!
