fashion travel home with Cuyana

I recently discovered Cuyana, a company that sells locally crafted accessories from around the world. For each collection, they carefully select materials and suppliers from a particular country (their current Spring collection is from Mexico) and design fresh, one-of-a-kind accessories. Each collection embodies the cultural heritage of the source country. They are providing well-crafted, high-quality products at affordable prices. And, a percentage of their profits is donated to charity:water. I love keeping up with their travel journal, which is a photographic documentary of the process in each country. I feel that these behind-the-scenes photos really help to connect me with the craftsmen and women from these countries and makes me feel like I’m part of the process.

I’m partnering with Cuyana
over the next month to feature three categories of
accessories: fashion, travel and home! First up? Fashion! I decided to put their leather caramel tote to use and take it with me while I hunted for some vintage treasures. Lisa and I made a morning of it, and drove out to the Old Lucketts Store
for some shopping, coffee drinking, and lots of chatting. If
you live in Northern Virginia, I highly recommend checking out Lucketts.
I could spend all day walking around the shop (which is 3 floors) and
outside sheds. It’s a vintage-lover’s dream.

I’m a bit picky when it comes to bags, and I’m always searching for the
perfect leather bag. Soft, large enough for my laptop, must have a
pocket, simple design, color that goes with anything. This bag seriously
meets all my requirements. I’ve been using it every day since it
arrived.
