Gift Guide : Little Girls

This gift guide is for little girls, ages 5-7, just about the ages of my two oldest, Zoe and Naomi. At this age, I love [continuing] to encourage creative and imaginative play. We have many of the items I included in this guide; these are some of my children’s favorite things to play with.

We have this exact kitchen play set, and have had it for several years. It was a “splurge” but we gifted it to both girls one Christmas, and it’s been the source of countless hours of imaginative play. Earlier this year, I gave it a facelift and painted most of the red a dark grey. I LOVE the way it turned out.

I hope you find this guide useful for the little girls in your life!

LITTLE GIRLS GIFT GUIDE:

  1. Poppy apron – my friend Rebekah designed these aprons, and my girls simply love them;
  2. Souvenir box – such a brilliant idea to help corral and limit kids’ treasures and trinkets, while also letting them know that preserving memories is a good thing;
  3. Doctor set – our kids would play doctor for hours and hours;
  4. Kitchen tools – we have these tools; they’re so realistic and the kids love using them in their play kitchen;
  5. Wicker stroller – such a well-made, beautiful baby doll stroller, and it switches between a pram and a shopping trolley;
  6. Play kitchen – this is the exact kitchen we gifted to our children several years ago; I love its simplicity, size, and functionality;
  7. Doll – a beautiful Hazel Village doll in a linen dress;
  8. Sewing kit – I’m gifting sewing kits to my girls this year, and cannot wait;
  9. Shopping cart – if there’s one thing I learned from motherhood, it’s that kids love putting stuff in containers and pushing/carrying them around; this shopping cart is adorable;
  10. Wooden chair – I love these little wooden bunny chairs from Oeuf;
  11. Bicycle – a beautiful bike WITH a basket for all the outdoor treasures that are bound to be found;
  12. Gold soccer ball – our girls started soccer this fall, and I know they’ll adore a metallic soccer ball;
  13. Wooden tool set – kids love playing with toys that are like what they see adults using, and this tool set is so realistic, and beautiful.
